Inspections

I chose to purchase a newly imported aircraft and have the shop get it "Licensed and Flying".

The shop has been wonderful and has been extremely diligent in their work. Unfortunately, the FAA has to inspect the aircraft prior to the Phase I Flight Testing. With only one inspector in the area and the amount of "training" the FAA mandates for him, it was almost a month from the time the shop contacted him until he was able to do the inspection. In short, be prepared for long delays if you go this route.
